Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming neighborhood located in the West Island, which is part of the Montreal island. Many people unfamiliar with the word frequently think that there is a separate island west of Montreal however, this part of West Island is home to all things from Lachine west to the city of Lachine west. Amanda Brugel grew up on the island and is frequently called her birthplace. But she only was there for a brief time. Brugel was a woman of a certain age within Courtice Ontario, just outside Oshawa. She initially wanted to be an actor, however, after a rapid expansion, she and her partner could no longer dance with her. In an article published in The Toronto Star she admitted In heels, I'm 6'1 inch. Once I was bigger than the size of my male companion, I stopped. A lot of former dancers go on into acting. In the case of Brugel, it was a suggestion from the drama instructor at her high school that led her in the right direction. Her teacher invited her to try out for roles in a school production. The teacher who suggested she pursue a part the annual school production. It led to her receiving an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000 she earned her Master of Fine Arts at York University. Over the last 20 years, Brugel's work been seen on the small and large screen. The most notable was her recognition when she landed her character of Rita on the award-winning TV show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel made an appearance on only a handful of instances in the initial season of the show The Handmaid's Tale. She was the only Canadian participant.
