Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his role in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in university, Christopher Meloni has been attracted to the world of acting. He pursued a degree in acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both films and television, but the small screen characters which gained him fame as well as an enormous fan base. He's been able to effortlessly play roles of characters from both sides of the law to grab an audience's interest. He was the character of the serial killer on his first television project and later played the role an NYPD detective. For his performances on small screens, he has received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. The most striking of his facial features is said to have been the piercing blue eyes that have allowed him to portray characters who have a rough, charismatic look. He was featured in 2006 when he appeared in People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
